The concepts of "machine learning" and "artificial intelligence" are hot.
Many media outlets shut up about big data, face recognition, machine learning and artificial intelligence. Actually, several media reporters/companies/individuals have learned statistics well. They know what Gaussian distribution, Poisson distribution, dimension reduction, clustering, Bayesian algorithm and Markov Monte Carlo are?
People who are keen on machine learning are nothing more than brushing their sense of existence or fooling investors/consumers in the circle of friends and wine bureau. A word is cool, which doesn’t mean that the people or companies who talk about it are also cool. Keep your eyes open and don’t be dazzled by the "big" data wave.
